thank you espn for proving my point from all these years

ive been saying for the longest how annoying, watered down, and repetitive that channel has become. corny programming, unprofessional reporters, failed attempts at staying relevant, skip bayless… what else did you expect from them?

to be really honest. i could give a shit about jeremy lin or his hype. matter fact i never gave a shit about dude even when he signed with the warriors. or when he was lighting up john wall in summer league. or when he led harvard to a ranked season. i didnt care about him bein the first asian american of anything. i admired his success solely for hoops reasons. why? i hate the fucking knicks. the fuck would i cheer for anyone wearing orange and blue? i’d rather see them and their pretentious fans lose 60 games a year.

but anyways. my point is that while jeremy lin is a feel good story, its nothing more than another flavor of the month. this is way bigger than jeremy lin or his sudden rise (and future fall) or espn’s distasteful headline or even everyone jumping on the bandwagon.

thanks to espn and their monopoly control over sports programming, they have the ability to puppet what trends and what controls our attention from the world of sports. just like how every corporation does for their industry… like mtv. like the news. like facebook. like the radio. like the whole fucking media. like government lobbyists. like every watered down shit you can think of.

there is much untapped potential in controlling the asian american community. for some odd reason they’ve have been historically bad at attacking our racial group, mostly because of how small it used to be. not anymore though. the growth in asian populations within metro city limits, along with the recent increase in mainstream influence by public figures of asian descent, is changing all that. american corporations are finally realize the profitability of being asian and they’ll make sure to take advantage of that.

so keep an eye out for an influx of more asian american artists, athletes, politicians, tv personalities, movie stars, public figures etc that will be emerging within the next 5-10 years. they’ve found the next big demographic to control. and it will soon be easier than ever.

to all my fellow asian americans… keep your guards up. we’re next on the list.
